Girl With a Big Gun_________________________ November 27th, 2003 - thursday___

Before I take off for my Thanksgiving break, I felt I should put a drawing in the update box in place of the horrible photo I took of the prints. Man, that photo was such an eyesore. Despite the hideous picture, however, I sold a few prints! Thanks for the support everybody! Anybody who orders any prints this week that don't have to be pre-ordered and printed (Rocket Pack Fantasy and Ballads) will receive them sometime next week. I'll be sending them out on Monday, as soon as I return from the holiday break.

Just saw The Triplets of Belleville. Highly recommended. The best way I can think of describing this film is that, like the films of Jacques Tati and classic comedies of the silent era, The Triplets of Belleville is a celebration of small moments. Plot and story take a back seat to the wonderfully absurd pantomimes of the characters and the amazing production design. The visuals for this film are insanely gorgeous. Their use of scale and composition completely blew my mind. For those of you that have little patience with subtitles, not to worry, since there is no real dialogue in the entire film. Everybody in the audience seemed to have a really good time, and for some reason I caught myself laughing a LOT harder than the people around me, which happens very rarely. I'm already looking forward to watching this film again, and again.
