Random thought ...

I realized today that I have never really lived anywhere I could see the seasons change. California has been my home since I was three years old, and during that time I've experienced and grown used to the same weather all year round. It may be time to start traveling.

Bill Peet...

Over the past few days, the large pile of Bill Peet books I ordered have been arriving in the mail two or three at a time, so every day of this week has felt like Christmas. He's an amazing storyteller and illustrator, and I will spend a little more time talking about him and his work another day, when it isn't so late in the evening.

Stuff...

Lately, I have also been receiving wonderful e-mails from people thanking me for referring them to good stuff like Craig Thompson's Blankets, or any of the great films that were mentioned in previous posts. I think these e-mails are flat-out awesome. I'll try and keep you all updated on the good stuff as time goes on, and I just wanted to let you folks know that I'm happy you guys enjoy the same things.

Have a great weekend.
