Old Friends That Are Not Yet That Old____________January 10th, 2005 - monday___

January 10th , 2005 - monday

Sorry about the lack of updates this past week. I'm up to my ears in work right now, trying to finish up FLIGHT Volume 2. All the material is looking fantastic, and I can't wait to get these books out to people...

old friends...

Over a year ago, I posted about the best comment I ever received for my work. It was something my friend Jon Parr said in High School. He told me he would kick my ass if I ever stopped drawing. Coming from a black belt in Kenpo, it really meant a lot to me. Hehe. Well, recently, Jon sent me an email and then we chatted on the phone for a long while, catching up on stuff. This is one of my favorite things about having this website. I end up catching up with old friends that I probably wouldn't be able to find any other way.

so in High School...

Jon and I, along with another friend, Josh Figueroa, would spend our days drawing comics after classes. Jon and Josh were like the famous comic guys on campus, and I think people thought I was the cartoon guy or something. Or the weird, quiet guy. Yeah, that could be it. Anyway, if it weren't for these guys hanging out with me or for us drawing together after school, I probably would never be stuck doing this stuff right now. Thanks a LOT, guys. Hehe. Actually, thanks a lot, guys.

:)
