After taking a week of half days at the studio, I got back to the drawing board since I had a pressing Flight 6 deadline to hit. I just completed the pencils and inks for a 22-page Daisy Kutter story for Flight 6 called "Phantoms", and I am currently painting the pages. Since I'm late on my new Copper comic (in order to make up for my tardiness, I will be posting two new Copper comics back-to-back next week), I decided to share with you the first two pages of the new Daisy story. Click the image below to see them.

In other news, my good friends Chris Appelhans and Jon Klassen will be on a panel at Nucleus on February 7th to speak about the work they did on the upcoming film, Coraline. It should be a fun event, and it's free! be sure to go check it out.
And for those of you who know what CAPS is, I will be speaking at the next CAPS meeting on February 12th. One of the first books that really helped me on my way to becoming a cartoonist was a how-to-draw book that was created by the folks at CAPS, so I feel privileged to be a part of their group. For any of you who are professionals working in the field of comics, you should definitely take time to check it out. I've learned tons about the history of my medium from many of the people who built the industry. It's great. Here's a link to their site.
